What we pour for you
Six jobs, one standard underneath
Every slab gets the same preparation, steel and drainage. What changes is what sits on top of it, and that is your call at the site measure.
No. 01 / The big one Concrete driveways
Plain, coloured and exposed aggregate driveways for homes across Dandenong and the City of Greater Dandenong, poured on a properly prepared base with steel mesh reinforcement.
Shed and garage slabs Slabs for garden sheds, garages, carports and workshops across Greater Dandenong, with the thickness and mesh specified by what will sit on them. Outbuildings only; we do not pour house or unit slabs. Rate$110 to $150 per m² 03
Concrete paths and footpaths Side paths, front paths and footpath reinstatement across Greater Dandenong, poured to a proper fall on a compacted base so water moves away from the house. Rate$90 to $130 per m² 04
Patios and alfresco areas Patios and alfresco slabs across Greater Dandenong in plain, coloured and exposed aggregate finishes, with the fall set away from the house and levels matched to existing decking and paving. Rate$100 to $180 per m² 05
Concrete removal and replacement Old driveways, paths, slabs and paving broken out, loaded and disposed of, and the new surface poured on a corrected base. Removal adds $35 per m2 to the rate for whatever replaces it. Rate$130 to $220 per m² 06
Exposed aggregate concreting Exposed aggregate across driveways, patios and paths in Greater Dandenong, with the stone chosen from sample boards at your house and the surface sealed after cure for colour and grip. Rate$130 to $185 per m²
From wet grey to stone
The reveal
Exposed aggregate is poured like any slab, then the top layer of cement is washed off the next morning so the stone shows through, and sealed after cure. Timing is everything, which is why you want a crew that does it every week.
Your job, start to finish
What happens when you call
- 01
Site measure
Free, at your place. The job is measured, falls and access are checked, and finishes are picked from sample boards against the house in daylight.
- 02
One written quote
One fixed number in writing, itemised against the published specification. If a council crossover permit may be required, you know before anything is booked.
- 03
The build
The old surface out where there is one, base material brought in and compacted where the ground needs it, steel mesh laid, then the pour. Most residential jobs are one to two days on site.
- 04
The finish
Control joints cut to direct any movement, exposed aggregate washed and sealed after cure, and vehicles on it seven days after the pour.
Specification
How our concreting is built
Full specificationTwo quotes can look the same on paper and be very different underground. This is what is included in ours.
The old surface removed and the area prepped, with base material brought in and compacted where the ground needs it. On Greater Dandenong clay, preparation is where cheap concreting fails.
Steel mesh in every slab we pour, sized to what will sit on it, with a heavier specification quoted where vehicles and machinery will park.
A fall directed away from the house on every slab, and a grated drain formed in where the block falls the wrong way.
Control joints cut to direct any movement, seven days before vehicles, and exposed aggregate sealed after cure.

Common questions
Questions we get every week
What does concreting cost in Dandenong?
Driveways run $95 to $185 per square metre by finish, shed and garage slabs $110 to $150, paths $90 to $130 and patios $100 to $180, supplied and laid. Removing old concrete adds $35 per m2 including disposal. Prices may vary with site conditions and variations; the written quote after a site measure is fixed.
Do I need a council permit?
The concrete on your own land usually does not need one. A crossover, the section between your boundary and the road, needs a vehicle crossing permit from the City of Greater Dandenong before it is built or widened, and larger building projects can involve an asset protection permit. What your job needs is confirmed in writing before anything is booked.
How long does a job take?
A site measure is usually within a few days of enquiry. Most residential jobs are one to two days on site once booked, and vehicles stay off new concrete for seven days after the pour.
