Where we work
The City of Greater Dandenong, and only that: 6 suburbs inside one municipality. Staying inside one council area means one permit process, one set of standard drawings and one inspection regime, known inside out.
Greater Dandenong permits
The City of Greater Dandenong requires a vehicle crossing permit before a crossover is built or widened. Since July 2022 applications go through the council’s online portal only, lodged with a site plan and the contractor’s public liability insurance, and the council inspects the work at set stages. Crossovers are built to the council’s standard drawings for the kerb type in the street, with a minimum width of 3 metres at the building line. A permit fee applies and fees change from time to time, so the current amount is confirmed at the quote. Where concreting forms part of a larger building or demolition project, the council’s asset protection permit scheme can also apply; most stand-alone residential concreting jobs sit outside its thresholds, and we confirm what your job needs in writing before anything is booked.
